About me…

39 Year old male primary teacher. Exceptionally intelligent and devastatingly handsome.

Am told I leave the toilet seat in the wrong position.  I always thought women collectively wanted the lid down.  Apparently not; seat down lid up is prefered. Can anyone shed light please?

Interests: My main interest is in energy – the relationship between energy availability, evolution and social phenomena.  I have developed a theory called Boundary Theory and am wring a book of the same name to explain it.  The name of this blog is drawn from the fact that the human brain is the most energy hungry biological tissue in the known universe.  This fact means (to me) that all human behaviour should be interpreted in terms of conservation of energy.  I believe that the all the emotional and physical activities of humans can be best explained through the principals of energy conservation.  See my blog – Can’O Humans for more on this or request a free copy of my unpublished, unfinished book – I’d love your feedback.

Aside from that hungry brain also refers to my brain being hungry for knowledge ideas and solutions.  I am interested in all fields of knowledge, cool technology and lots of fun. I am interested in education and how the brain learns so easily if the person is happy and excited.

I will use this sight to publish my daily thoughts on the things that annoy and bother me and suggest my own ideas for different takes.

I have also spent a lot of time learning to interpret the subconscious motivations under human behaviour.  As a society we still have not learnt to address this area which is the source of all activity and conflict.  I can quickly see now how people’s words and actions are stunted and unconscious attempts to reddress buried issues and feelings they mostly are unconscious of. I can immediately identify when actions or words have hidden or buried emotion present in them because they feel pressured and often surface as implicitly or overtly blaming. I am good at working with these feelings and  I have often felt impelled to offer some kind of counselling service – just no qualifications. If you are troubled about things let me know – maybe I can help you.

Lastly I want to say – I think we can have Heaven on Earth.  I am not a Christian and my views on God are happily conflicted – I suppose I believe in many different possibilities at once. I think it’s important to experience a sense that there is no God at all and to face life from that place.  If you decide to believe in God you can then separate out a lot of the childhood baggage  associated with our parents and approach the great mystery less conditioned.  I think religions do a lot of damage and inherently disconnect people from whatever God might be because they create an image that ultimately becomes frozen and limited.  Collectively they’ve done more damage than good and I truly think we will be better off without them.  There’s a lot I agree with in Richard Dawkins’ position although ultimately he might be being blinded to possibilities by his (justifiable) anger at the impact of religion in the world. However I think that by our own hands, free thinking minds and honest self expression we could build a society and a biosphere which is finally a proper home for all life on Earth.  In whatever way I can that will be my life’s goal.
